Inscribed to "George Wakeford Esq. with the author's Compts", A very rare predecessor to Burns' great work on the Scottish coinage and this copy gifted to one of the most important collectors of his generation. Significantly scarcer than Burns' three volume work on the Scottish Coinage published. some 11 years later, and based on Coats' massive collection.
