Title printed in red and black; (8), (leaf A4/B1 = pages 1/2 defective with part of text torn away affecting 6 lines of text on each page), 342, (14) pp.; 98 engraved vignettes of coins and medals in text: Nos. 1-100 but 20, 43, 47, 68 not printed, as usual, 39*, 70* added, and 30, 88, 89, 90 mis-numbered on the cuts. First edition, second issue (with the correct vignette LXXXI instead of LXXIX printed on page 146). Contemporary brown panelled calf, worn, upper and lower covers loose, generally the contents clean and fresh, but with the usual age-browning; and the disadvantage of the one leaf being defective. Old inscription on endpaper: Mrs. (?) Atwood (?) to Dr. Evans. Printed label of the Library of the Royal Engineers, Est. 1816. Later and more recent ownership inscription under.
