Uniformly bound in polished full tan calf; raised bands, backs gilt, some wear; all page edges gilt; minor wear at extremities. Each volume inscribed to Richard Sainthill, the author’s nephew, by Richard Sainthill. In the second volume the inscription is dated Cork 24 April, 1849. From the library of Lord Stewartby with his distinctive book plate in each volume. |
