Quarto, engraved frontispiece, engraved title; Dedication (signed in the plate by G. R. Fleurimont); 65 engraved plates, each within ornamental frame, each containing text and illustration of obverse and reverse of medal. Later calf-backed boards, raised bands, back gilt, red calf title label, gilt; worn at extremities.
There are ten different and rather attractive ornamental frames used to frame the medals and the descriptive text. An attractive series of medallic plates, that seems to have been a cumulative medallic record of the achievements and victories of France under Louis XV. Copies are found with a varying number of plates under the name of Godonnesche and, from 1736, Fleurimont. Dekesel F115; [see also: Dekesel G133].
